What are the steps to becoming a part of the Ranch Team?
To volunteer at Rising Hope Rescue Ranch, you must complete a background check and volunteer commitment, attend a volunteer:Me orientation, then schedule your first day.
How can I bring a group to the ranch to volunteer?
YES! We welcome families to come together, groups from church, groups from school or work. st let us know. We have groups who like to come out and work on specific projects as well as joining in with others on “Ranch Work Day’s” with other volunteers. Just let us know so we can prepare for you.
What kind of volunteer opportunities are available?
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities as part of the ranch team. From working with horses on a regular basis to helping around the ranch to ensure the property is in shape to host healing and growth opportunities for horses, kids, and families. There’s always some thing that need so get done.
What is the time commitment?
The time commitment for the ranch team varies depending on the role and your availability. We appreciate any amount of time you can give, whether it’s a few hours a month or several each week.
Can I volunteer if I have no horse experience?
Absolutely! We have all sorts of animals that need ‘tending to’ and lots of projects that don’t include animals. If you want ot work into a horse care role, we provide training and support for all volunteers, regardless of their previous experience with horses. We will do all we can to set you up for success on the ranch.

Ranch Team: Hands-on Service, Lasting Impact
Our Ranch Teams are committed groups of volunteers who serve regularly in essential areas of ranch operations. These teams play a critical role in the upkeep and growth of the ranch, ensuring it remains a place of healing, hope, and transformation for all who visit.
Opportunities to Serve
Our Ranch Teams focus on two key areas:
- Grounds Crew – Helps maintain the beauty and safety of the ranch by mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and keeping trails and pastures in good condition.
- Facilities Crew – Works on repairs, improvements, as well as construcing new buildings. Your role is to ensure our structures are safe and functional for horses and guests.
In addition to regular service, Ranch Team Volunteers can also serve as Project Leaders on Ranch Workdays, helping coordinate one-time volunteers and ensure that projects are completed efficiently.
What to Expect
Commit to serving once a month (or more) as part of a regular Ranch Team.
- Work on projects that directly impact the daily function and long-term sustainability of the ranch.
- Collaborate with other dedicated volunteers in a positive, faith-filled environment.
