Mentoring at the Ranch
A Safe Place for Kids to Grow Strong
We are privileged to serve children and teens ages 6–18 and their families at no financial cost, thanks to generous donor support.
On our ranch, beside rescued horses and caring Christian mentors, kids grow in:
- Faith-informed identity
- Confidence
- Emotional strength
- Responsibility
- Healthy connection
Who Is This Program For?
Our mentoring program is designed for children and teens who:
- Are between ages 6–18
- Are experiencing difficulty academically, socially, emotionally, relationally, or spiritually
- Need steady guidance and a positive environment to build resilience
Some common struggles we see include:
- Anxiety or depression
- Isolation or social withdrawal
- Academic challenges or school avoidance
- Low confidence or motivation
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Family or personal trauma
- Suicidal ideation
- Difficulty performing daily responsibilities
If you’re thinking,
“My child needs something steady and positive,”
you’re likely in the right place.
What Makes It Work
For the mentoring experience to be most effective:
1
Your Child Must Be Ready to Participate
Children must have the emotional, mental, and physical capacity to safely engage in ranch-based activities.
This program is active, relational, and hands-on.
2
Parents Partner With Us
A completed application from the legal guardian is required before the season begins.
Parents let mentors know what areas of the child’s life they are most concerned.
3
Kids Choose to Be Here
After orientation, each child verbally opts in.
We have learned something important over the years:
This ministry works best when kids want to be here.
When they step onto the ranch willingly, growth accelerates.
Our mentoring program operates over three 10 week seasons:
Spring
March 23 – May 25
Summer
June 10 – August 17
Fall
September 3 – November 11
To get on our registration list for the upcoming season, we encourage families to register their interest at least one month prior to the start of the new season.
How to Begin
Step 1
Submit the Interest Form
Join the registration list for the upcoming season by completing one form for each child.
Step 2
Complete the Participant Application

Step 3

A Final Word to Parents
If you’re here because something in you is saying,
“My child needs something different,”
Trust that instinct.
We have seen shy kids stand taller.
Angry kids grow calmer.
Disconnected families reconnect.
It doesn’t happen overnight.
But it does happen.
And sometimes it begins beside a rescued horse.
